Meet Sybil Brodie
Sybil resides in Huntsville, ON and worked as a private secretary after marrying her childhood sweetheart. Together they raised three sons and one daughter. Sybil was widowed in 2010 and her daughter joined her father in heaven in 2015. With her husband they owned a Housekeeping Resort for 15 years. Sybil loves reading, writing, Bible study, electronics, but most of all — Israel. She loves spending time with her three sons, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sybil is the prayer ministry leader at her church, serves on the committee for JOY (Just Older Youth), yearly for VBC, and five years with Samaritan’s Purse OCC.
Sybil edited and produced a church newsletter increasing it from one to four issues a year featuring many congregates and stories about how God was working in their lives. Sybil currently writes a monthly article “EncouraGem” for her church and her website.
She wrote her book Gems of Encouragement published in 2014, followed by her website www.encouragem.com, and FB facebook.com/encouragem and Twitter Twitter@BrodieSybil.com.
Sybil has had articles published in Muskoka Seniors Magazine, and her book is sold at Muskoka Bible Centre in Huntsville, ON as well as online. Sybil’s prayer is that others will hear God speak to them through her writings and seek Him out for themselves
