Renfrew Baptist Church is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic church in East Vancouver seeking a man to fill the position of Associate Pastor to serve alongside our Senior Pastor in leading, serving, and building up the congregation. This will include exercising administrative oversite to promote the function and development of ministry efforts, and community outreach initiatives.

Depending on gifting, current ministry focus may include evangelism and discipleship, oversight of small groups and leadership training, family ministries, and/or worship ministries, as well as preaching and teaching. Continued growth and refinement of the candidate's gifts may lead to eventual transition into the Senior Pastor role, or continuation in the Associate role while guiding the church in finding a new Senior Pastor in the future.

The successful candidate will uphold a high view of Scripture; dedication to corporate and daily personal prayer; the five 'Solas' of the Reformation and the doctrines of grace; expository preaching; baptistic ecclesiology; a Genesis-affirming young-earth-creationist understanding of Scripture, and a Complementarian view of men and women in the church.

The candidate will also be committed to the Scriptural requirements for elders as found in 1Timothy, Titus, and 1Peter, as well as to fully upholding the Renfrew Baptist Church Statement of Faith and church members' covenant. He will be expected to preach on a consistent basis (frequency TBD in consultation with the Senior Pastor), and to partner with the leadership team in serving. Familiarity with and support of the principles found in 'Nine Marks of a Healthy Church' and the church's understanding of Progressive Covenantalism and Amillennial eschatology will also be expected.

Overview of the Role

Fairview Baptist Church is seeking to start a Christian Worldview Academy for junior-high and high school level students as a ministry to cultivate a robust Christian world and life view. We want to help students obtain a high school diploma or accredited certificate in a Christian environment.

The man fulfilling this role would assume the role of headmaster and primary teacher of the academy and develop this ministry as the Lord provides. This is a full time salaried position.

Qualifications:

A man fulfilling the qualifications of an elder according to 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

A passion for teaching and discipleship and possessing a strong biblical knowledge.
A master’s degree in divinity, theology, or education.
Ideally possessing teaching certification in Alberta.

Prince Rupert Fellowship Baptist Church is currently in search of the person called to be the next Senior Pastor. The church is multi-generational, with approximately 30 members and an average of 70 Sunday attendees. This is a regional ministry with ties to Fellowship Pacific.
