Worship and Tech Ministry Director

Organization

Temple Baptist Church, Cambridge, ON

Description

Are you passionate about Jesus and His church, and about leading people to worship Him? Are you an engaging vocalist and a creative and innovative leader who knows how to love and shepherd people? Would you be able to plan and lead our church in the Sunday morning service experience so we have vertical, God-centered worship where we sing one another’s songs?

By God’s strength and blessing, some of the desired outcomes for this role would be:

• In 3 years, have led Temple to become a community where the transcendence and palpable intimate presence of the Lord is sensed when we gather for corporate worship.

• In 2-3 years, have built up a core of musicians and tech leaders.

• In 2-3 years, build up the “farm team” of worship leaders and musicians in our Student Ministries.

You would report directly to the Lead Pastor and would have the Tech Ministry leaders along with the Choir Director directly reporting to you. Our Communications & Outreach Strategist would assist you.

The weekend priorities for the Worship Director would be the Sunday morning service experience. The individual is also responsible for training and leading volunteer teams in Worship Teams and AV Tech Teams.

An ideal candidate for this role will have at least a Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Bible or Theology) with training in music and knowledge of A/V Tech with 5+ years in ministry.

If you have a love for Jesus, integrity, an insatiable appetite to learn, self-awareness, are a self-starter, and one who can gather people around them on the mission of Christ, then we want to hear from you. Our deep desire is that you would have a joyful 10+ year tenure here at Temple.

If you believe with us that God has a people claim for Himself in Cambridge and that we are called to reach them and connect them to the church, we would love to hear from you.

Pastor

Organization

Hope Baptist Church, Hopetown, QC

City

Hopetown

Description

Hope Baptist Church is located on the Gaspe Coast of Eastern Quebec in a small, English-speaking, rural community. Members and adherents come from the surrounding English communities and number approximately 50. Weekly meetings include Sunday School for all ages followed by an open church service on Sunday morning. We have a prayer meeting on Wednesday nights and youth programs on Friday afternoons and evenings. The church has a prominent Ladies Group who are actively involved in planning events for our church and the community, who typically meet on the first Tuesday of each month. Due to COVID-19, Sunday School and the Friday afternoon youth meetings have been cancelled as of late.

We are a family-oriented church, and the people of the church value hard work and a willing heart. Because of the small church size, it helps to have a multi-dimensional pastor who sees his ministry and calling extending beyond the church walls on Sunday to a seven-day world where visitation and personal encounter are seen as vital to the congregation’s health. Ideally, we would have someone who relates well with people of all ages as we have a large number of young families as well as seniors who attend the church.
Our leadership team is composed of 4 deacons, who could also be described as elders, caring for both the physical needs of the church as well as the spiritual needs. We are looking for a full-time worker to come and take on the bulk of the teaching and preaching, as well as become involved in the life of the church, helping members grow in their walk with the Lord.

A detailed job description is available upon request.
