After serving many years as a chaplain in the main prison in Roumieh in Lebanon, Roula serves as the area director for Good News Jail and Prison Ministry in MENA (Middle East and North Africa) area and "STAN" region (countries ending in "stan"). She oversees four chaplaincies in Sudan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Pakistan and works closely with the four national directors to ensure that the vision of Good News is moving forward and that the established strategic plan that is in place is proceeding effectively. The heartbeat of this new strategic plan is to recruit, equip, and coach competent chaplains to mobilize the communities and to create a movement of discipleship ministries among the inmates and their families for God’s glory! In addition, part of Roula’s role is to explore new fields in the region and to launch new chaplaincies, thereby reaching more inmates and their families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Roula also serves as the coordinator for Carey International University of Theology based in Guelph, ON for MENA (Middle East and North Africa). In this role she coordinates seminars and lecturers in both seminaries in Egypt and Lebanon as well as translating courses and theological materials and books.
