Roula
After many years of walking alongside inmates as a chaplain in the main prison of Roumieh, Lebanon, Roula continues to follow God’s call by serving as the Area Director for Good News Global-GNG in the region of MENASA (Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia). Her journey has been shaped by deep relationships formed behind prison walls and a growing burden to see lives restored through the hope of Christ.
Today, Roula oversees prison chaplaincy work in five countries: Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Turkey, and Pakistan, serving alongside national directors and faithful chaplains who daily bring light into some of the darkest places. Together, they seek to remain attentive to God’s leading as they steward the vision and mission entrusted to them.
At the heart of this ministry is a desire to raise and walk with godly, well-equipped chaplains, to mobilize the local Church, and to nurture movements of discipleship among inmates and their families, trusting the Holy Spirit to bring lasting transformation for God’s glory. As doors open, Roula also prayerfully explores new fields, believing that no place is beyond the reach of God’s redeeming grace and that every life, no matter how broken, can be made new through Jesus Christ.
