Hope Amid the Rubble
In March 2025, a devastating earthquake struck Myanmar killing thousands.
Natural disasters often affect the already marginalized and disadvantaged populations most. This is true of the Chin people group of Myanmar who are often under-resourced, and have received very little aid or assistance in rebuilding in the months since the quake.
But there is hope.
FAIR is responding in partnership with Fellowship Chin Baptist Church (Kitchener, ON), other Canadian churches, and the Baptist World Alliance to provide practical, Christ-centred help. Two Chin churches in Myanmar were destroyed, along with the homes of several church members. These churches have long been places of refuge and hope—now they are gone.
