After the death of her Father, Lara*’s mother took over his job as a cleaner at a hospital to provide for her family. With her mother often absent for long periods of time, Lara cared for the house and babysat for a neighbour. In this vulnerable state, 15-year-old Lara quickly became the victim of sex-trafficking perpetrated by her neighbour. She thought this was the only way to support her mother. There was little hope of rescue for Lara. But freedom was coming. After six long months of sexual exploitation, Lara was rescued because of a crucial tip sent to authorities. She was placed in aftercare, and her life has been transformed.

You can be a part of transforming more lives. Bring #Freedom to those trapped in slavery by joining us in our mission to pray for, fund, and learn more about the rescue operations in Bangladesh through International Justice Mission (IJM).

What is freedom? For those who claim Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, the answer is simple: true spiritual freedom comes only from believing and trusting in Christ for salvation, and following Him. In contrast, for those trapped in modern-day slavery, the definition of “freedom” is also simple: freedom is everything they don’t have. They are forced to work in horrific, inhumane conditions for someone else’s gain. Most are tricked or coerced into it through empty promises. They say “yes” because they are so poor that they believe there are no other options. In Bangladesh, this is how many women and children find themselves living in the darkest, nightmare version of slavery — sex trafficking. FAIR is working with the local church in Bangladesh and International Justice Mission (IJM), experts in ending slavery for over 25 years, to establish a new program that will help rescue many from sex-trafficking.

Freedom is possible. Rescue is real.  Will you join us in bringing freedom to captives of sex-trafficking in Bangladesh?
