Michael and Maha
Michael and Maha have served in Lebanon and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for over 20 years. Michael is Lebanese/Canadian born in Prince Edward Island. Maha is from Palestinian, Syrian, and Lebanese origins. She lived between Saudi Arabia, where she was born, and Lebanon until she emigrated to Canada in 1990.
They have been involved in church planting, discipleship, humanitarian ministries, and equipping Arabic-speaking people in the MENA region. In 2010 they partnered with Bechara Karkafi, with whom they share a common vision for catalyzing movements through disciple-making churches in the MENA region. They moved back to Prince Edward Island in 2015 and served in various capacities among the Arabic speaking community in Charlottetown until 2023.
They have decided to move back to Lebanon to join the Stronger Together team with Bechara Karkafi and Trinity Baptist Church to serve in the MENA region. Michael will join the pastoral team of the church in Lebanon. He will also be teaching theological courses with Carey International University of Theology, as well as providing pastoral coaching for disciple-makers and church planters. Maha will be coaching teachers at Clementia Life Centre, which she started back in 2014, as well as starting new projects in the region.
