Eric and Valerie
Significant Dates:
· Appointed to serve in Quebec in 2016.
Eric and Valerie’s exposure to the spiritual reality in Quebec began during their involvement with Power to Change. Through the testimony of others they learned how under-reached Quebec was for the Gospel. However, their sense of call began in March 2014 when Eric and Valerie visited Montreal and saw firsthand the tremendous spiritual need. God began to stir in their hearts an inescapable hunger for the Gospel to be proclaimed in Quebec through the planting of new, Gospel-centered churches. In July 2014, they participated in a church planting assessment in Atlanta which helped to clarify their calling and encourage them regarding their gifts. In learning directly from Quebecers about the unique history, language, and barriers to the Gospel in Quebec, God gave both Eric and Valerie a stronger call to make disciples in Quebec.
In partnership with the AEBEQ Region and local church planters, they aim to make disciples and help plant Gospel-proclaiming churches in Montreal with impact on the world. Eric and Valerie are particularly focused on making disciples of all nations among francophone students and young adults in Montreal. They desire to see God raise up catalyzing movements who make disciples among the next generation of Quebecers which will impact the world. They work in partnership with French Quebec church leaders in the Église Hochelaga church plant.
