Going from being without Water to being WITH Water!

In Fall 2022, we asked for your support to supply running water to the Good News Hospital in Mandritsara, Madagascar through FAIR’s Without Water appeal. The need was immense as every year, for months at a time, the hospital and its surgical ward would operate with only one hour of running water per day.

Today, we’re thrilled to share with you this update from Fellowship International missionary Jesh Thiessen, who serves at the Good News Hospital:

“From depending on a tractor to haul dirty water from the river five kilometres away for four months of the year, to a new electrical system that powers six new wells… The hospital has been transformed! The new system distributes clean water not only for the hospital, but also for the families of over 60 hospital employees and 100 families in the community. This has been critical especially during severe droughts. This time of year is normally devastating with water shortages, but not this year. Praise God!

“Praise be to God for a hospital and community transformed! Thank you for empowering us through this infrastructure work so that all glory is given to Jesus.”

Please continue to pray for the ministry of the Good News Hospital, the Thiessens, and the community in Mandritsara. Pray that the Lord would be glorified by the ongoing benefits of this tangible expression of the love of Christ.

Your generosity has transformed not only this hospital, but the whole community. Thank you for making safe, reliable water a reality in Mandritsara, Madagascar.
