A Word of Praise from Lebanon

Fellowship International missionary Karim Anayssi recently shared an update from Cedar Home. We were especially encouraged by the praise items that he included:

“Hello friends, we have arrived to 2021 safely, and we believe God gives us birthdays and new years as new beginnings, or reset for a fresh start, both spiritually and physically. So in spite of yet another challenging month in Lebanon, we look forward to a better future simply because Jesus is with us.

Praise:

  • For success above and beyond expectation in online education; against all odds manifested in power outages, weak internet, and the reality of the switch between in-class and at-home learning. We celebrated with two of our many girls who have made amazing progress and achieved high grades especially in Arabic language, which is not easy. Education is core and foundational at Cedar Home and our girls know well that their future relies on it.
  • For the privilege of being beside the needy in these very tough times in Lebanon through our relief program that remains successful with the support and prayer of many friends and partners. Over 270 individuals benefit from our food delivery program mainly in the Metn and Beirut areas.
  • For my family: Rita, Neomi, and Naya , who surprised me with a wonderful birthday this January. This is the tenth birthday in Lebanon and Cedar Home, and without my family, I would not have been able to do what I am currently doing. The birthday wish I made was this: good health and more fantastic surprises by God. And the prayer of thanks I prayed was this: that I remain sitting beside the driver seat as He continues taking Cedar Home on an amazing trip.

Will you join with us as we pray for Cedar Home (Lebanon), and the Anayssis as they continue to serve the girls and community members? Pray that through the practical demonstration of Christ’s love, many will be saved.
