Special Deliveries in Pakistan

Complications in pregnancy happen and many of the women who come to Shikarpur Christian Hospital (SCH) are experiencing difficult pregnancies or have had caesarians sections preformed with previous pregnancies and run significant risks during a second or third. Shikarpur Christian Hospital offers these women safe and modern surgical interventions that carry with them the assurance of the safe delivery of a healthy baby.

The average cost of a caesarian section to SCH is $500. Patients who can, pay part or all of that cost. Those without resources can receive the service free of charge. This is possible because FAIR, through the generous donations of Fellowship churches, subsidizes these surgeries.

The Special Delivery project is dedicated to covering each of these surgeries, making it possible for those without resources to be free to access the service when the need arises. For more information click here.

But Shikarpur Christian Hospital is more than caesarian sections. For decades during the 20th century and now into the 21st, SCH has been there for the women of the Sindh and their families, saving lives and providing family support, spiritual resources, ongoing care, and training local staff. FAIR has worked alongside the hospital to help provide the resources to maintain the facility and to provide materials and equipment. Some of the projects related to those needs are outlined in FAIR’s online catalogue. For many of those decades Fellowship International has contributed missionaries, doctors, and nurses to SCH and to its outreach ministries. We covet your prayers for the ongoing ministry of Shikarpur Christian Hospital and its staff.
