What the Trainees Say

One of the exciting developments as LeadersFor has grown is seeing students become teachers, and national leaders taking the reins of the training movement and developing other leaders.

LeadersFor - teacher at boardAfter a cohort graduates, much of LeadersFor ministry becomes advisory as the local leaders take on the training task for themselves. The local leaders would oversee the development of their second and subsequent generation of church leaders. We are seeing such movements in Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Kenya and India. As a matter of fact, many cohorts develop their second and third generation even before graduation. LeadersFor will continue to coach and mentor the local leadership team and on occasion give them an additional leadership level course.

How do the pastors feel about their participation in the LeadersFor program?

LeadersFor - Pastor Ortiz“I thank God for giving me the privilege of participating in this ministry ETBILD. What I like best is that this method helps us think biblically as we teach different congregations to be doers of the Word, using the first principles of the Church.”
                                                                                     —Pastor Isaias Ortiz, Honduras

“I thank God for the studies with ETBILD because this has helped me a great deal as far as knowledge and spiritual edification is concerned, and being able to help others with the Word of God for the growth of the local church.”
                                                                                      —Pastor Miguel Valladores, Honduras

LeadersFor - Kariuki, Antony LeadersFor pastor

"The group discussion of issues in the LeadersFor cohort sets the sessions apart from other seminars we are exposed to. I have seen that 75% of these students have a firm grasp of the scriptures and issues as a result of the discussions, compared to 25% in other seminars."
                                                                                       —Pastor Antony Kariuki, Kenya

"It is interesting. It is purely Biblical. It is the type of training and excerises we need in this our generation to help our ministration to be Bible-based. The exercise developed a focus on the Gospel message, which is the only message that introduces Jesus Christ to mankind."
                                                                                       —Pastor Dike Onwyke Emmanuel, Nigeria
