Anthony is originally from Romania. Born to a young mother living in deep poverty and lacking the resources to raise a baby, he was placed in an orphanage where he could receive the care he needed. Anthony was adopted by a loving family from Quebec who raised him with Christian values and, at the age of six, he accepted Jesus as his Saviour and Lord.
In July 2014, while visiting the Romanian orphanage where he had lived, the director encouraged him to search for his biological family. Within months, he found them and returned to meet them. Deeply moved by the reunion, he returned in 2015 for a three-month stay to get to know them better. During that time, he learned Romanian, adapted to the simple realities of rural life, and grew to love the people and his village. Romania quickly became a special place in his heart.
In January 2022, while visiting in Romania, Anthony discovered that there was a Baptist church in a remote village just 10 km from where he was staying. The church was very active, had a significant missionary component, and he was able to become active within the church. Not long after his return to Quebec, Anthony sensed the Lord leading him to return to Romania long-term. In October 2023, he returned for a year-long mission trip to Romania and felt firmly God was calling him to become involved there permanently.
In 2025, Anthony began training in order to assume the leadership of the children’s ministry, teaching Sunday school and discipling the children who attended. In October 2025, he began a course in applied theology at Emmanuel University in Oradea and in June 2026, he joined Fellowship International to continue the mission God entrusted to him in Romania, his native country.
