The Impact of Education

The Fellowship's child sponsorship program is committed to the development of the whole person through a sustainable holistic approach. By focusing on these four pillars of: education, physical, emotional, and spiritual care we hope to see at-risk children thrive.

Because of the pandemic, our team at the Clementia Life Centre (CLC) in Lebanon has been continuing its education program online primarily through WhatsApp and phone calls focusing on English, Arabic, math, arts, and Bible lessons.

The CLC team has now distributed the mid-year report cards, with one more semester to go. Their partners in Merath invited them to “video-making” training, which was vital and timely to the CLC learning program. Students noticed the improvement right away from the first week post training. Here are some of the students’ comments: “Thank you for the effort you make to improve the teaching. I noticed you are asking more questions and helping us stay focused,” and “I was encouraged by your last video, I will not give up on learning”.

Recently, Nadine, an English teacher, was doing her usual weekly calls, when surprisingly Amani (11 year old female student) called saying: “I’m not calling you to ask about the lesson, but to thank you for all the effort all of you are making to teach us and care for us. I can now understand a lot in English.” Nadine said she was very encouraged and surprised, she really needed to hear back from the students since online teaching can be very challenging at times!

Monthly sponsorship gives access to education and school supplies — immediately impacting young lives and investing in the future of their communities.
