Pray without ceasing

Ways to pray for Colombia and the communities affected by the earthquake

On Monday August 10, 2026, an earthquake deeply impacted communities across Colombia. As people navigate pain, loss, and uncertainty, we are reminded of our call as Christians to pray without ceasing. We invite you to join us in praying for Colombia and for those affected, asking that God would bring comfort, provide what is needed, and, above all, that the name of Jesus would be glorified through this difficult time.

Here are some ways in which you can be praying:

  1. For the churches and believers affected in the four regions that were severely impacted by the earthquake. Pray for unity, comfort, and the resources needed to rebuild their lives.
  2. For the El Redil churches and FAIR, as they partner together on the ground to provide relief and coordinate the sending of aid and missionary teams to the affected areas.
  3. For the church plant in Cali, which, although they did not lose any lives or buildings, are deeply shaken emotionally, as Cali and the surrounding areas were among the hardest hit by the earthquake.
  4. For the new Redil Armenia church, where six families lost everything.
  5. That God would draw more Colombians to faith in Christ through this painful situation.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Thank you for standing with our brothers and sisters in Colombia through prayer. And, if you feel called to support those affected, please consider giving through FAIR’s Colombia Emergency Relief appeal and learn how you can partner with the relief efforts on the ground.
