How many churches are in our Fellowship?

Every year in June after our five Fellowship Regional Conferences are complete, I share with you the current number of local churches that make up the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada. The most recent data is as follows:

  • Fellowship Pacific: 98 churches

  • Fellowship Prairies: 21 churches

  • FEB Central: 303 churches

  • AEBEQ: 79 churches

  • Fellowship Atlantic: 22 churches

  • Total: 523 churches

  • 541 churches in June 2025

Regional Conference Reports

The following brief reports provide recaps from each of our Fellowship Regional Conferences held this spring (2026). They are as follows:

Fellowship Pacific Impact Conference, April 22-24 at South Delta Baptist Church in Delta, BC

  • “The theme for this year’s Impact was ‘Forged: Tempered by Challenge, Sharpened for Mission’. It was an appropriate theme that captured the moment Fellowship Pacific found itself in. Through worship music, stories, communion, teaching, prayer, and important conversations, we reflected on how God uses challenges not simply to test us, but to shape us for greater faithfulness. Impact 2026 reminded us that we are not defined by difficulties, but by our shared gospel mission and a God who continues to form us together.” – Brent Chapman, Regional Director of Fellowship Pacific

Fellowship Prairies Equip Conference, April 30 – May 1 at Taylor University in Edmonton, AB

  • A key focus of the Fellowship Prairies Regional conference this year was a business meeting to approve a Motion that would release three churches from the Region. The motion was approved with delegates voting 12 yes, seven no, and one abstained: Park City (Winnipeg, MB), Fairview (Calgary, AB), and Fellowship (Edmonton, AB) left and our hearts are heavy. We were encouraged by positive ministry reports and ended our time together around the Communion table. Mark Breitkreuz serves as Fellowship Prairies’ Regional Director.

FEB Central Stronger Conference, April 27-28 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Barrie, ON

  • “FEB Central’s Stronger Conference 2026 is now in the history books. Our theme was ‘Stronger in the Word: Living & Active’. With 605 delegates, this was our largest Stronger Conference to date! Our speakers were Rick Buck (FEB Central), Josh Davey (Emmanuel Barrie), and Deven MacDonald (Berean Baptist, Burnsville, MN). God used these men to deliver the Word with power. Participants met in 17 peer groups and there were 29 workshops. Our vision for Stronger Conference is to come alongside the local church and help to equip leaders for every area of ministry. By God’s grace we are seeing that happen. Our annual AGM occurred online on March 24.” – Tom Haines, Regional Director of FEB Central

AEBEQ Réunion and Le Sommet, June 6 at AEBEQ in Montreal, QC

  • Churches gathered for the annual equipping conference, Le Sommet (January 30-31, 2026) in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC. A time to discover, celebrate, equip, worship, and teach. The AGM meeting, The Reunion, occurred June 6 in Montreal where encouraging reports of God’s work in the Region were shared. – François Turcotte serves as AEBEQ’s Regional Director.

Fellowship Atlantic “Family Reunion” Regional Conference, April 17-18 at Main Street Baptist Church in Sackville, NB

  • The Fellowship Atlantic Region tried something new this year: they invited families to accompany Regional delegates and hosted the largest Regional conference they’ve had in years. Together they studied Thom Rainer’s book, ‘Becoming a Welcoming Church’, through panel discussions. We celebrated one new church plant being established and the arrival of Corey Bergman (a Fellowship chaplain) in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. The Region’s first Fellowship ministry in Newfoundland in decades–join us in prayer as we seek to reach ‘The Rock’.” – Tim Elmore serves as Fellowship Atlantic’s Regional Director.

Our Regional conferences remain an annual highlight for me as we hear what God is doing in our midst. One constant message I kept hearing was: “Baptisms, baptisms, baptisms!” God is doing a good thing among Fellowship Baptists for which we are grateful.
