Home Church: Rosemont, QC
Gisele was ninth in a family of 13 children. From her early years she was preoccupied with seeing justice done. In 1978, she was touched by the movie: On the road to Armageddon as she realized how unjust she had been to those around her. Gisele became very discouraged as she realized how sinful she was. As the speaker explained the remedy to the problem after the movie was over, her eyes, ears and heart were opened as she realized that Jesus had died for her sins and that He had risen from the dead. She accepted Jesus into her heart on March 12th, 1978 at Sherbrooke College.
The next Sunday, Gisèle began to attend Sherbrooke Evangelical Baptist Church where she was baptized two months later and served there in different capacities until 1985. She then joined a group and started a new church in the center of the city of Sherbrooke.
In 1997, while studying in Montreal, Gisèle joined Rosemont Evangelical Baptist Church. This was where God blessed her by giving her the desire of serving Him overseas.
Her interest in missions started when she was in primary school. After having heard someone present the needs in Africa, she wanted to go there right away. After she accepted the Lord Jesus at the age of 26, the missionary presentations continued to touch her heart but she always found reasons to put off her decision. In 2005, a missionary from Bulgaria came to present the great need of this country. Once again Gisèles heart was touched and when he came back in 2006, she stopped resisting Gods call. From that moment on, her relationship with God deepened tremendously!
Gisèle had the opportunity to do a three month short term mission in Bulgaria and in September 2008 was accepted for career service in church planting in this country with Fellowship International. She is currently completing language studies, doing evangelism and helping to meet the physical needs of Bulgarians in one of Europes poorest countries.
