Bangladesh

For tens of thousands of handicapped, widowed, or poor Bangladeshi women and their children, life is reduced to begging, prostitution or starvation. Heart House gives women training in handicrafts, enabling them to earn a modest income and support their families. Some have come to Christ as a direct result of this ministry. You, through FAIR's Heart House Centres, can provide equipment and supplies for these ongoing projects.


Sewing Machine

Your contribution will be used to purchase a new treadle sewing machine. Ten machines are needed at a cost of $86 each.

Cost: $86 per sewing machine
 

Sewing Machine Chair

Your donation will be used to provide a chair for each sewing machine purchased.

Cost: $10 per chair

Large Bamboo Mats

Your donation will be used to purchase large floor mats for workers to sit on while preparing handcrafts. Twelve mats are needed.

Cost: $7 each

Work Table and Chairs

Your donation will be used to purchase a table and chair set for the centre.

Cost: $75 per set

Plastic Stools

Your donation will be used to purchase plastic stools for various craft centres. Ten stools are needed.

Cost: $4 each

Steel Storage Cabinet

Your donation will be used to provide a small, lockable steel cabinet for a new Heart House centre.
