Quebec Flood Relief
May 15, 2017
Spring 2017 has been marked with exceptionally high volumes of rain in several regions across our country. Quebec has been especially hard hit, leaving citizens of Montreal, Ottawa/Gatineau and Pierrefonds, among many other locations, dealing with flooded streets, homes and livelihoods.
The National Fellowship has committed to support disaster relief efforts through Samaritan’s Purse. Although the waters have begun to recede, there is tremendous need as people assess the damage incurred through the flooding and begin the long process of cleaning up. The Lighthouse Church program (established by Samaritan’s Purse) works through the local church to provide a rallying point for community volunteers, a staging area for equipment, staff and out-of-town volunteers. Hudson Community Baptist Church (a Fellowship church located in Saint-Lazare) has been selected to be a Lighthouse Church for their region.
