Home church: Church of the City, Guelph, ON
∙ Appointed to serve in Japan. 2017.
Adam was born into a Roman Catholic family in Toronto, ON and is currently the only disciple of Christ in his family. He decided to follow Christ as a university student, with God using the campus ministry Power to Change to draw him to Himself. He became heavily involved as a student leader, being exposed to the necessity of evangelism, discipleship, and missional living. Through a five-week Power to Change mission trip to Japan in 2015, God placed a heavy burden in Adam’s heart for the Japanese people. The Japanese are the second-largest unreached people group in the world, yet the country allows for complete religious freedom. These two perplexing facts ignited a desire in Adam to love and serve those from Japan, being salt and light for those who do not know Christ. He is currently enrolled in a Masters program that will specifically equip him for mission work in Japan.
After much prayer Adam applied and was accepted as a Fellowship International career missionary. As he continues his training through his Masters program, Adam’s hope is to engage relationally with young adults in Japan, where there is a unique openness to new ideas and ways of living, as well as serving the local church in evangelism and discipleship. Adam has discipled postsecondary students in both his church and in ministry as a student, which has given him both the heart and experience to work with the new generation of young people in Japan.
