Anna was born into a loving Christian home in the small town of Beamsville, Ontario. She accepted Christ at a young age after hearing the Gospel message presented at a Vacation Bible School program in her church. She has always been heavily involved in ministry especially after her dad became a pastor when she was in elementary school.

Anna’s interest in missions didn’t start until she was in high school. The summer before she went into Grade 11, she went on her first mission trip to Nicaragua with a team from her home church. After graduating from high school, her plans for the future didn’t really involve missions. At that time her family was preparing to move from Beamsville to Newmarket. As she planned for post-secondary education, she decided to go to Bible College for a year before pursuing further education in the graphic design field. She applied to the Intercultural Studies program at Heritage College and Seminary where she would study and prepare for a two month mission trip to Indonesia at the end of the year. As time went on she continued to plan and apply for graphic design college programs. In February, after attending Heritage’s annual mission conference she felt God calling her to seriously consider the mission field.

She spoke with her professor at Heritage and shortly thereafter began the application process. After many meetings, prayer and planning Anna was accepted into a new internship program with Fellowship International. The purpose of the mid-term missions internship is to provide individuals with the opportunity to enter a process of serving (deployment) and training (development) which will lead to a greater understanding of God’s direction/call in their lives (discernment).

Anna will spend ten months serving and training at her home church where she will gain practical ministry experience. After this time she will then spend ten months serving and learning in Indonesia.
